There has not been much activity on the group blog over the past 4 years – this was due to my temporary move to the US National Science Foundation to serve as the program director of the Process Systems, Reaction Engineering, and Molecular Thermodynamics program in the ENG/CBET division. Currently, I am still affiliated with NSF, acting as an Expert in the Chemical Process Systems cluster of CBET.

During my time at NSF, Alan Uy and Joe Whitmore (co-advised with Professor Chen Zhang) both completed and defended their PhD theses, each focusing on modeling and experimental validation of Atomic Layer Deposition processes.
